Australian here!
Things that you should never say in Australia:
Saying Australia and New Zealand is the same country - this triggers both Australian and New Zealanders actually, and they’ll probably get really annoyed if you say that.
You should be driving on the right side of the road - driving on the left side of the road is a tradition brought from the British during the colonization of Australia. That being said though, driving on either side of the road doesn’t matter, as our traffic has long adapted to the left. Besides, we’re not the only ones doing it.

Nepal here.
“Buddha was born in India.” This really triggers my Nepalis compatriots. Never say it to a Nepali unless you are looking for a fight. It is true that Buddha spent most of his life in places that are in India today and got his enlightenment there, but he was born in Kapilvastu, which is in Nepal today. That’s the only thing that matters to a lot of my compatriots. If someone famous and influential says this, there may be riots in the streets of our cities and bazaars.
“Nepal is a part of India” OR “Nepal should join India” OR “India should annex Nepal.” This makes Nepalis really really angry. We Nepalis love our independence. We are mighty proud of the fact that we were never colonized. Even making such a suggestion is enough for my compatriots to blow their top. If someone famous and influential says this, there may be riots in the streets of our cities and bazaars.
“Mt. Everest is in the north of India.” Many English textbooks published in India (and used in Nepal) in the past used to have this line and it used to make us really pissed off. To us Nepalis, Mt. Everest is in Nepal and that’s it. No nonsense like in the north of India or south of China (although the northern face does in fact belong to China).
How to trigger Americans.
I do not agree or disagree with all the sentences below; these are just sentences that would get the average American triggered — rightly or wrongly — followed by the most likely reactions to them.
(takes a deep breath)
(clasps hands)
Here we go.
“F*ck the troops.” How dare you insult our troops who protect our freedom? Do you have any respect for those who served and/or died for this country? Why don’t you join the military?
“F*ck the flag.” Do you know what this flag stands for? This flag stands for freedom. People have died for this flag, and by disrespecting the flag you are disrespecting everyone who died for your freedom!
“We should raise taxes in order to…” GASP! “No wait, let me finish…” SoCiAlisM! “No, we pay more in taxes but we earn…” VeNeZuElA! NoRtH KoReA! ZiMbAbWe!
“We [meaning America] are not the greatest country in the world.” Then why does everyone come here? Why are you here? Why don’t you move to China or Africa?
“I don’t think we should go to war against [insert country here].” But have you seen the chemical attack/massacre/some other atrocity on TV? Children are dying, look at the children! Someone’s got to do something, or else it’s going to happen here!
“We need to do something about guns.” How dare you disrespect my second amendment rights! “I’m not talking about the second —” Our founding fathers once said…(goes on a rant about how the government will become a tyranny and it’s up to an armed population to stop them)
“I don’t believe in God.” So you deny your maker and your savior, the Lord Jesus Christ? Here’s what God said about….(quotes some obscure passage in the Bible) Why are you bringing religion into this?!
You want to trigger Iran? Here are some ways:
Alexander “The great” - Better just call him “Alexander of Macedon”.
A.r.a.b.i.a.n Gulf .
Iranians are all Arabs. - Only 2 percent are Arab.
Iran is all desert.
Women wear burqa in Iran.
Iran :
“Oh so you’re Arab and speak Arabic right” - Many Iranians will take great offense if someone just assumes that they’re Arab. Yes, we have Arab minorities, but the majority of Iranians are Persians who speak Persian
“Isn’t Iran like really poor ” - This is the 2nd worst thing to say behind calling all Iranian’s Arab. Iran is actually very developed and our cities look like any other Western city. Iran’s economy is one of the largest in the Middle East and living conditions for the average Iranian are decent.
“Shia’s arent real Musli...” - This statement is not only extreme but will surely anger the common Iranian, even if they aren’t a staunchly devout Shia. Iranian’s are very defensive of their faith. You can expect death threats, harassment and even prison or execution for making a statement like this.
“Isn’t Iran like full of terrorist” - This statement will outrage any Iranian. Iran is one of the safest countries in the Middle East and terrorist attacks are incredibly rare. Unfortunately, because of our close proximity to Afghanistan and Iraq, this label is often falsely thrown upon us.
“Iran is boring right, seems like it” - As a historian, this statement irks me the most. Iran is home to one of the worlds first civilizations, thousands of years worth of history and culture are cemented into Iran’s past. Iran is one of the few places on earth where one can witness the true beginnings of empires and human civilization. We Iranians are extremely proud of our ancient history and you can expect to annoy many with a statement like this

“Turks should go back to Central Asia”
“Turks are not originally Central Asian , they are just Turkified Anatolians”
That answer is not about sentences that personally trigger me , i compilated sentences that trigger Turkish people in general.

Many sentences in India can trigger Indians in general. Here goes the list:
Saying that beef is the best food:- Applicable only in a few states of India, the rest will try to kill you for saying that.
Pakistan is better than in India in every way:- Be assured you will end in a lock-up (best case scenario) or you may end up in a morgue.
Indian cricket team sucks:- You’ll piss off half the world (we Indians are scattered everywhere)
PM Narendra Modi is very incompetent:- You’ll trigger half the country by saying this.
Paneer is tastes like shit:- The entire country will behind your blood.
LGBT is cool:- You’ll be looked upon and if you are in tier 2 city and in a tier 3 city you may be shunned from the society.
Kashmir doesn’t belong to India:- Rest assured half the country will be baying for your blood and you’ll probably end up in prison for saying this.
5.“Paneer(印度奶酪)的味道就像大便。”
“So you are Italian? Mafia, pizza, mandolin, chaos, inefficiency”
This stereotype is due to the fact that the large majority of Italian immigrants in the US were from the South.
Well, while Southern Italians are somehow akin to this stereotype, the North is almost completely another country. As a matter of a fact, Northerners are (not unexpectedly) somehow more similar to Southern French and Austrian depending on the regions.
“Italians? You are the burden of Europe! You are all corrupted! Only Greece is worse”
It is common knowledge that there is a high level of corruption in the Italian bureaucratic system, which is in some cases related to organised crime.
Whatever the origin, it all originated after WWII, when the political parties of the time (Christian Democracy, com...st Party, Socialist Party, etc…) began to hire many unemployed people as civil servants.
This practice mostly occurred at a regional/parochial level: the leading party of the area granted job placement in exchange of votes. Those who knew the persons of interest inside the party had of course more chances to be hired and have other family members hired.
Add to this the fact that Italian trade unxs have always been warlike so that firing anyone from a private company is complicated and, even worse, it is practically impossible to fire any civil servant and you have the perfect storm.
However, I would like to remind that other states (France and Germany) took advantage of European aids when it came to save they own banks, and Italy as a member had to contribute to this. Now it seems like these countries don’t want to allow Italy for a less strict economic manoeuvre and they require Italy to stick to the austerity parameters, the ones that they did not respect themselves when it was the time.
The fact is that France and Germany have their own interests in keeping Italian economy down as long as possible: it’s always a matter of eliminating a competitor.
“America and Britain don't plot against Musli... all the time”.

"You're from Belgium. So you speak French?" would trigger about half of the Belgians as it assumes that Belgium is a French speaking country and that all Belgians speak French.
60% of the Belgians speak Flemish (Belgian Dutch). The northern half of the country (Flanders) is exclusively Flemish, not bilingual. The southern half (Wallonia) is French speaking, as are most people in the capital Brussels.
Most Flemish people have studied French at school and can speak it fairly well, as a second language. They'll almost always try to speak French when they are in Brussels or Wallonia. But they don't like speaking French at home, in Flanders.
Throughout the 19th and 20th century, Flemish people had to fight for their right to speak their own language in Belgium, even as a majority, and have education, justice and public services in Flemish. Only since the 1960s, things have changed for the better. Since the 1970s, Belgium has gradually evolved into a federal state, with 3 highly autonomous regions and language communities. Most of the outside world though seems not to be aware of this.
